Geothermal Services – Technical Support for Sustainable Systems
Geothermal systems use stable subsurface temperatures to provide energy-efficient heating and cooling. At Fisher Engineering Limited, we support geothermal projects with field data collection, thermal conductivity testing, and subsurface analysis. Our projects inform the design and placement of geothermal systems in both new developments and retrofits.
Our team assesses overburden conditions, soil stratigraphy, groundwater interaction, and bedrock profiles to determine suitability for vertical borehole systems. In coordination with consultants and utility providers, we ensure system compatibility with project-specific parameters, including building height, footprint, and mechanical requirements. Our involvement spans early feasibility through to construction-phase verification.
The City of Toronto’s Net-Zero strategy, the Toronto Green Standard (TGS), and ESG objectives increasingly rely on geothermal technologies. Our services assist project teams in meeting Tier 2 energy performance goals while reducing the reliance on fossil-fuel-based mechanical equipment.
